First, with your hair tied back measure the following four things and write them down:
~ Forehead/Hairline: Measure horizontally from hairline to hairline the widest part of your forehead.
~Jawline shape: Measure the angle of your jaw to your chin, then multiply this number by two. Consider if your jaw is rounded, square, or pointed.
~Face length: Measure from the top of your forehead to the bottom of your chin. Consider if your face length is longer than it is wide.
~Cheekbones: Measure the widest part of your cheeks from the edge of your face. (Remember to keep ruler as straight as possible.)
Second, with a mirror in hand, use the following simple chart to help you decide what face shape you have. If you have the feature listed in the box, you get one point. In the end, the one that has the most points is your face shape.
(If it is a tie, use the key features section to help determine which one out of the remaining face shapes applies to you more.)
I have an oval face shape, what is yours?
